Sona is a Kenyan born, UK based food & wine photographer, writer, food stylist & recipe developer. Her work is inspired by the concepts of farm to fork, sea to ‘sahani’ (plate in Swahili) and vine to glass.

Many moons ago, leaving behind a landscape of red earth where wild animals roam and where white sandy beaches fringe the shore (what was she thinking!) – Sona moved to London to pursue a degree in creative advertising. Eventually, her passion for visual and written story telling led her to unearth a dusty old camera. The rest, as they say, is history.

She carries a deep rooted appreciation for fresh organic produce and the value of eating a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet. A love for both food and good wine has led Sona to travel to some of the world’s most prominent wine producing regions to learn and discover the work of many a wine maker. She writes a journal documenting all things kitchen, garden, wine and everything in between!

She is always on the lookout for the next creative project and would love to hear from you. So, if you have something in mind and would like to work with Sona, please do get in touch here.
